Day Until Lent

T his Wednesday, February 10 our Lenten Journey begins as we experience Ash Wednesday. Below you will find a series of links and reminders to get your journey off to a great start. Don't hesitate to contact me with additional questions and to let us know you are on the journey with us.

To Guide Your Lenten Journey

  • Ash Wednesday Experience

Begin your Lenten Journey by taking part in an Ash Wednesday experience. If you are in the Chicago area join us at Christ Church of Oakbrook at 7PM.

  • 40 Days of Decrease

I will be hosting a Lenten Community Group at Christ Church of Oak Brook which will be using the book 40 Days of Decrease written by my friend, Alicia Britt Chole.

  • Weekly Discussion and Reflection Guide

You can find a great weekly discussion and reflection guide here to use for your own journey or ideally, with a small group.

  • Virtual Community Group

In order to enrich your own experience or your experience with a small group, we will be posting highlights, challenges and additional reflections to engage in here.

  • Pre-Lenten Space Savers

You can see here our Pre-Lenten Space Savers that we have shared for the past week, to use as you move into Lent. Space Savers are simple experiences designed to help you create space in the normal flow of your life.

“This year instead of fasting carbs or designer coffee fast, apathy, injustice, revenge and more . . . for the love of God.”
